The Bengaluru-based quick commerce company Zepto is getting ready for a huge stock market debut. The online delivery business showed strong financial growth ahead of its public issue.
Zepto IPO Details and Objectives
Zepto has submitted draft documents for its public offer. The company wants to list its equity shares on BSE and NSE.
The total issue size is between ₹11,000 crore and ₹12,000 crore. The IPO includes a fresh share issue worth ₹8,010 crore. Existing investors will also sell shares through an offer for sale.
The firm will use the fresh capital for specific business needs. The company will expand its network of dark stores. It will invest money in technology and cloud systems. The firm will spend funds on marketing activities. It will also use capital for new business acquisitions.
Seven investment banks are managing this public issue. Axis Capital and Morgan Stanley are lead managers for the offer. Goldman Sachs and Motilal Oswal are also handling the issue. HSBC and JM Financial are managing the listing process. IIFL Capital is working as a book running lead manager too.
Financial Results and Operational Growth
Zepto doubled its operational revenue during the 2026 financial year. The company recorded revenue of ₹22,624 crore in FY26. It had reported revenue of ₹11,110 crore in FY25.
The net loss of the firm also expanded during this period. The business recorded a net loss of ₹5,905 crore in FY26. The net loss stood at ₹4,700 crore in FY25.
The platform handled 210 million orders during the January-March quarter. The firm operated 1,139 dark stores in this period. It processed an average of 2.33 million orders every day.
Each dark store handled 2,140 orders daily. The same daily count was 1,425 orders per store in the previous year. This change shows a 50 percent jump in dark store productivity.
Launch of Premium Grocery Service ‘Select’
The firm is expanding its product range before the stock listing. Zepto will launch a new in-app grocery service named ‘Select’.
The new service will focus on premium items. Customers will get curated imported products on the app. The company tested this service in a few cities during a pilot phase. Encouraging customer feedback made the firm prepare for a full launch in the coming weeks.
The company has started talks with top consumer brands. It will onboard these brands before the official launch.
The new service will enter a competitive market. It will compete directly with Blinkit Gourmet. It will also compete with FirstClub. Zepto plans to set attractive prices on several imported products.
